Hi i was recently looking at pets and saw panda as one that was removed and it said this "The panda was removed from the game prior to release because of local laws: in China you are not allowed to depict the death of an endangered species (such as the panda) in a video game".

But that got me thinking if they have removed this why havnt they also removed Polar Bears and white tigers as they are also indangered in the wild.

It just sounds a little silly why panda is the only pet taken away.

Because Polar Bears and White Tigers (not positive about the tigers...maybe I'm wrong...too lazy to wiki) are not from China, so that law doesn't apply to them. Thats my guess anyway.

I see what you guyes are saying but polars and white tigers are also ######### to kill they may not be the symbol animal off a country but its still a law

and anyway i though china had 12 symbol animals 1 for each year

The twelve animals are Chinese zodiacs. They're used by a large number of Southeast Asian countries and do not exclusively represent China. The national animals of China are Chinese dragon, panda, and cranes. I'm wondering if Anet also changed the cranes to appease China.

So from what ppl are saying i think china have the final words on it and i dont think anet can do nothing.

But what is stupid why they banned it coz they though ppl would kill it in game lol.

How rediculas would you be to just kill pandas on the map

For the rare chance of phat lewts. Comon thought dude its a digital polygon with a panda jpeg skin on it....

Oh also.. did my ranger lose his factions tiger from shing jea? I death leveled that thing for like 2 hours if its gone im deleting my ranger.

why you taking this so seroisly i just wanted to know why 1 endangered pet is taken out and certain others kept in

Sigh.

Factions was released on April 28, 2006. The panda was removed prior to that date, over three years ago.

Anet is not removing pets from the game. The sky is not falling. It'll be OK.
